Who we are
Vox Incanto is a trading name of Jack Tester, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, at 32 Porchester Close, Hartley, Longfield, Kent, DA3 7DQ. Email voxincanto@jtester.uk.
The app
Vox Incanto is an iPad app for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). It is in development and not yet on sale. These terms describe how the home subscription will work, and will be updated before release.
The app helps a child communicate, but it is not a medical device. It should not be a child's only way to get help in an emergency.
The home subscription
- It costs £16.99 a year, the App Store price including any VAT.
- One subscription covers a household: its registered iPads, its adults and a profile for each child.
- It is bought and paid for through Apple's App Store, under Apple's terms of sale as well as these.
Renewal, cancelling and refunds
- The subscription renews automatically each year unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the end of the current year.
- To cancel, open Settings on your iPad or iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You keep full use until the end of the year you have paid for.
- Apple takes the payment, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
- If a renewal payment fails, you keep full use while Apple retries the payment. If it still fails, the app shows only its built-in core board until you renew. Your boards stay on the iPad and come back when you do.
Schools
School licences are not on sale yet. When they are, a school will agree separate written terms with us, including how it is invoiced, how it adds or reduces licences and how it cancels.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you subscribed. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
